On Wednesday, April 29th, from 3–6 PM, we’re canvassing as the REAL People’s Organizing Collective, and we’re going where real community power lives, with our local storefronts and small businesses. 

Meet us as we talk to small businesses, build relationships, and share our demands for a people-centered economy. And because organizing is about joy too, we’ll gather for a 5PM happy hour (on us!)

• What are we talking to small businesses about? Affordability, commercial rent and the high vacancies across Oakland! We will be talking to businesses about how this impacts our livelihood and how we can organize to protect our neighborhood and prevent displacement. Talking points provided.
• Can I bring a friend? Absolutely! Bring three friends! All are welcome at our canvasses and no experience is required.
• Will there be training? Yes! All of our canvasses will begin with a grounding and training, and if you are new you will be partnered with another canvasser. No experience required!
