This Wednesday, March 25th, from 3–6 PM, we’re canvassing as the REAL People’s Organizing Collective, and we’re going where real community power lives, with our local storefronts and small businesses.

Meet us at the Curbside Creamery (482 49th Street) as we talk to small businesses, build relationships, and share our demands for a people-centered economy. And because organizing is about joy too, we’ll gather for a 5PM happy hour (on us!) at Couchdate

Day-of updates will be shared on the RPOC CORE Signal chat

    FAQs

    • What are we talking to small businesses about? A large portion of the Temescal corridor (27 small businesses in total) is currently listed for sale for ~ $10.5M. Right now, decisions about our future are being made without small business input. We will be talking to businesses about organizing to ensure we have a seat at the table to protect our neighborhood and prevent displacement. Talking points provided.
    • Can I bring a friend? Absolutely! Bring three friends! All are welcome at our canvasses and no experience is required.
    • Will there be training? Yes! All of our canvasses will begin with a grounding and training, and if you are new you will be partnered with another canvasser. No experience required!

    Hope to see you there!
